Race, Culture, and Cultures in Contact
A spring quarter study abroad in Baja California, Mexico
Application Deadline: Monday, January 30

    This full-time UW program is open to students from all areas of study.  Spanish language skills are helpful, but not required.  Federal financial aid can be applied to program costs.
    During Spring quarter of 2006, Professor Kimberly Barrett Ed.D. (U.W. Psychology) will lead a program in Baja, Mexico, a region of great beauty that has been transformed by tourism. Working closely with members of the local community, this Comparative History of Ideas program will employ Psychology as the core of a multi-disciplinary examination of race and culture in this context.
