Dear Math Student,
Disability Resources for Students is looking for a responsible
individual who is interested in helping out a fellow student with a
disability. We need a volunteer who is available to scribe for an exam
on Friday, July 22^nd at our office Schmitz Hall. The exam is scheduled
from 9:40-11:40 am.
Scribing is an accommodation provided to students who cannot write or
cannot do so efficiently enough to complete an exam. It simply involves
writing down the answers to an exam as the student gives them to you
verbally.
We are asking YOU because the specific class for which have a need this
quarter is Math 381. We are more than happy to write a letter of
recommendation for employment or graduate school applications for our
volunteers. Please consider the personal rewards of volunteering and,
if you're interested, contact me with your availability (class & work
schedule).
I look forward to working with you.
