[Acmsmajors] Paid tutoring positions with Technology Access Foundation

[Math Advising]

Hello:

We have several openings here at TAF for math tutors. We are a 
non-profit that works primarily with students of color in grades K-12 to 
prepare them for study in STEM fields in college. The goal is to provide 
opportunities for authentic engagement in STEM disciplines to which many 
underserved students have little access.

TAF Academy in Federal Way is looking for at least four math tutors to 
work with groups of 5-8 middle school students.

Salary:

$10 - $15 per hour, depending on experience

Where:

Federal Way School District

Schedule:

Starts September 1, 2011 (professional development days to be held 
late-August)

Work Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 10:30am -- 3:00pm (times are not 
flexible due to school bell schedule)

Program scope:  Position ends mid-June 2012 (aligns with Federal Way 
Public Schools calendar)

Responsibilities:

-Working with small groups of 5-8 middle school students to increase 
math skills as shown by weekly assessments

-Create detailed lesson plans for two 90 minute periods each day that 
describe the goal of each session and be able to monitor student's 
progress in tutoring
