I don't believe it is possible to change the current directory.

The top-level Export command may be helpful in some situations. When
viewing the message that has attachments (as opposed to viewing the
attachment list or an attachment) type Export and there is a subcommand on
the bottom called "AllParts". Toggle that and the export will save all of
the attachments in a directory in one fell swoop.
