[Alpine-info] How would I modify source to recognize scroll wheels?

Where in the Alpine source would I look to change the code so that a 
BUTTON4 event is seen as the same as an UP-ARROW event (and BUTTON5 as 
an DOWN-ARROW)?  I would want this change to be as low-level as possible 
in the code.  Alternatively if there is a way to issue a bash command 
before hand to cause this, that is acceptable.

Currently, when I spawn a shell inside Alpine, I get the same effect 
from the wheel as I do in all other programs except for Alpine (i.e. 
scroll up/down).
