[Alpine-info] imap authentication failures

Hello,

I am failing to authenticate with our mail server.  The debug log is attached and was running using the following command line options:

   alpine -d imap=4,flush,timestamp

Get the same authentication erros when using Alpine 1.00 and Pine 4.64 on a Linux system.  I am connecting via IMAP +SSL to a Microsoft Exchange 2007 server.  The version info given to me states that the server is running "SP1 rollup  plus critical patches".  

Note, I began having the authentication error after a recent server update. Prior to this server upgrade things have worked properly.  Also, a colleague using the Thunderbird client has no problem connecting to the Exchange server.  See excerpts of Alpine/Pine & Thunderbird protocol logs. (Complete Alpine log attached)

I was curious if anyone else is having this problem or knows of a work around.  

FWIW, from the list of patches applied in recent upgrade I noticed one that mentioned Exchange in the description.  I'm not sure it is relevant/related but thought I'd mention.
