[Alpine-info] weird behavior in saving messages from one folder to another

I am hijacking this thread to ask a question about the subject line. In
the past, I had asked why I was seeing extra space between words in the
subject. I was told that it was due to some MUA's improperly indenting
the continuation of a subject line with more than a single space. This
is the standard.

However, this E-mail I received also has more than a single space, yet
it was produced by Alpine. Here are some of the headers:

another

This is how I see it:
Date: Mon, 30 Jun 2008 15:50:34 -0400 (EDT)
From: Jacob Wegelin <jwegelin at vcu.edu>
To: alpine-info at u.washington.edu
Subject: [Alpine-info] weird behavior in saving messages from one folder to another

Is this originating from Alpine, or is something mangling it prior to me
reading it? I am using Alpine 1.10.
