ARM Linux has changed its ABI, and therefore has a new system type,
"arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi".
When you run ./configure for alpine on such an ARM, as demonstrated at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=471519 , you get these
messages:
> configure: error: Unrecognized system: arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi
> make: *** [config.status] Error 1
Please accept this one-character patch to configure.ac that lets alpine
build on current ARM Linux.

as good. Luckily this is not difficult.
