[Alpine-info] Not include signature for forwarded messages...

The thread about wanting to resend mail reminds me. A very geeky
wish that I have is that my signature NOT be included when I forward
a message... or that it be at the VERY bottom of the email (after
the forwarded message).
I usually manually remove it when I forward a message. I remove it so that
people don't respond to me with some kind of "Hey, now YOU are top-posting"
kind of response. (I do *not* mean to get into a big debate about the
evils of top-posting, but suffice it to say that forwarding is a completely
separate matter, even though it *seems* the same. That's because
the vast majority of the time one is not responding to specific points in
a forwarded message in the same way one is in a normal email thread, they're
just saying "Hey, take a look at this" kind of thing. That is more
of a 'header' IMHO than a reply, so it's fine to be at the top.)
But anyway, if my sig wasn't included for forwards, that would be a
great ultra-geeky thing.

Answer: Because it makes conversations flow in a nonsensical order.
Question: Why is top-posting wrong? [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netiquette]
