[Alpine-info] Displaying Message/RFC822 attachments fails with
IMAP

Try it with UW and/or Cyrus imapd. Then, once you see that it does
work, compare the working imapd's BODYSTRUCTURE with the one from
your two servers. That will reveal the answer.
