[Alpine-info] Folder Reopen Problems

Hello,
At home I'm using a rather instable UMTS connection, and very often
it happens that Alpine starts a frustrating '"Waited XX seconds for server reply. Still Waiting...'
game: I have to wait until XX equals 60, catch the moment when it asks Break connection to server, type Y,
catch the prompt again, type Y, and only then,
more than two minutes later, the folder can be reopened.
This is so extremely frustrating, please help! It would be OK for me to just type Y twice
within 10 seconds, so maybe some parameter change would do ? Of course, resolving the deeper
root of the problem would be nicer.
I'm using MAC OS X 10.5.6, ALPINE MESSAGE SYSTEM Version 1.00 (built Thu Dec 20 17:02:24 PST 2007)
and I have two mailboxes, e.g. with server imap.uni-muenster.de/novalidate-cert/ssl/user=fuellen
