Because the ever-so-superior Mac can't do something that Windows has been
able to do for years.

So can Linux. It's only Mac that is broken.

If you have a sent mail mailbox set up, why wouldn't it?

Why? I do it all the time, for the same reason that have multiple windows
on their screen.

If that is the case, then Mac is the only system which doesn't have this
"special code".

No, it's against crappy products.

Linux GUIs were crap once upon a time and I refused to use them. The
world has changed and Ubuntu is quite usable.
