Well, I say that.  Again, I suppose it depends on how one sets it up.  I imagine if one had "When a message is deleted from the last visible IMAP folder" set to "Immediately delete the message forever" and if one then made the "All Mail" folder "hidden from IMAP" (to use Google's terminology), then not.
