Yes, there is still the option to use the virtual on-screen keyboard, but
since it has to be touch friendly it now fills the entire screen -- it
leaves you a tiny preview window open in the upper left corner so that you
can only see the phrase that you are typing in, most unconfortable when
using Xterm... plus there are some unconfortable side-effects in how they
implemented this. On Maemo 4.x, you recall the on-screen keyboard could be
configured to be touch (fill the screen) or stylus (use only a small part
of the screen) friendly. As fas as I can tell, the latter option is
gone... I suppose because we now have a hardware keyboard!
