XRay Files Require Dicom CDs?
Pine/Alpine does not alter attached files as far as I know. (Maybe
some of the GUI programs do.) Yet even if so, files can be packaged
to avoid such a problem.
However, I am told digital xray files (medical xrays) cannot be sent
via inet. Something not compatible. What & Why?
I am told a "Dicom" CD (whatever) must be mailed for xray files?
Is somebody else aware of this?
I believe any file can be sent via inet email attachment without
alteration if packaged correctly. Certainly any file should be
transferable via inet somehow, FTP or....
Is there a twist to this I missed?
