[Alpine-info] Foreign Characters?

I use xterm, but basically you need to put gnome-terminal in UTF8 mode.

In your login script, set LANG=en_US.UTF-8

I don't think anything needs to change here.

Alpine will display UTF-8 by default once the LANG environment variable is
set. Pine won't work with UTF-8, in my experience.
