The last that I saw, Pico did not have any special knowledge of Chinese or
other East Asian languages; it simply assumes that space is a wrap/justify
opportunity (which it is in Western languages).

Lacking any spaces, it sees a string of East Asia text as one long "word".
I have the same difficulty with Japanese text. To help Pico, I often
insert a space after 、and 。and around「...」quoted texts. But the only
good solution would be algorithms that understand East Asian languages
well enough to determine good line breaks.
