The problem is the c-client library. The problem is that that library
assumes that some characters have width 2, as opposed to width 1. This
causes several problems

* When viewing the message, lines wrap early,

* when forwarding a message, certain lines display spaces in place of
the correct characters, and asking Alpine to redraw such messages,
after some editing changes the displayed position of the characters.

I consider this to be a big problem. Luckily, this is not a big problem
for people in this mailing list. I wonder if there is anyone that skipped
using Alpine because of this...
