I would like to create groups of mails in Alpine (for instance:
Friends). Could you please tell me how to do that?
Do you mean groups of addresses? That's easy. The address book's format
is basically a tab-separated values list with:
nickname fullname address
If you go into the address book (shortcut a from the menu) and add a new
entry (shortcut @). You'll get this:
Nickname :
Fullname :
Fcc :
Comment :
Addresses :
Just like regular address book entries, your list will have a nickname
('friends', for instance) and may have a fullname ('All my friends') and
the addresses will be a comma-separated list of addresses or nicknames
from your address book. Alpine will resolve the full email addresses
just like it does when you put a nickname into the to: field. I suppose
you could even have a distribution list that resolves another
distribution list...
