Does Alpine have a way of keeping a log?

I list three outgoing smtp servers in .pinerc. The first is fastmail's server, mail.messagingengine.com. Occasionally, unexpectedly, for no apparent reason, Alpine uses one of the other (less reliable) servers to send my email.

I contacted fastmail about this, thinking it might be a glitch in their server. They requested that I send them logs of Alpine's behavior.

Does such an object exist, an Alpine log?
