I am purposely not renaming the subject of this email.
I realize this may seem like a trivial whine to some people, but I have seen
it a few times lately.
*PLEASE* don't reply to an existing message and change the subject to
try to create a "new" topic. For those of us who use threaded email, now
both discussions and their replies are all mixed together. The message I am
responding to was created by replying to the "[Alpine-info] Installing Alpine
w/ Maildir patch" thread and changing the subject.
(You could claim that email clients should "do what I mean" and break up
"threads" this way, but that would in some cases be wrong, because sometimes
people respond to one specific part -- slightly tangential perhaps -- of a
discussion and change the subject appropriately. So IMHO such thread breaking
up should be done at the user's request, or automatically with an 'un-break'
capability.)
Thanks.
