[Alpine-info] Alpine on ubuntu's terminal looks "washed out" when using color.

I basically know nothing about how terminal colors work, but this is true
for all of the settings (besides no color, as you mention) in the colors choice?

you apparently already know this, but you have to set 
      [X]  Expose Hidden Config                                                 
to see the extra color options (among lots of other stuff)
