[Alpine-info] running alpine on server and local pc

it could be because of the connection - i'm using wireless at home but i
will try to connect to a lan port when i go to my department.

i just tried ssh into the server again - still i cant connect to alpine.
Also, there was no "thing" at the start screen. Sorting "INBOX" remains at
0%.
