True, but we can at least give the OP a couple of hints.

(1) read RFC 2046 to know how to deal with MIME attachments in
     a multipart message

(2) for instance I read it, and devised a filter script which (run
     via procmail) removes HTML attachments from a mail message and
     replaces them with a short text reminder.

     (which also contains the URL to RFC 2046 near the top !)
