[Alpine-info] Backing up gmail messages with alpine

What you say is interesting and make sense with the usual mess of gmail 
imap...

Only one point: the same happens to me with another mailing list 
where I use a different address, not my official one. Moreover all my 
messagess are sent using pine via a different smtp server, not gmail smtp 
server.
The only interaction with gmail is the fact that these messages too are 
forwarded to my "sent-mail" folder on gmail: is this enough for it to be 
recognized by gmail?
