With best wishes for a good conference in San Francisco next weekend, for those here who are attending.  If you are looking for some German-Austrian cooking, I recommend Leopold's Gasthaus at 2400 Polk.  A straightforward transit trip from the Hyatt area, good by cab too.  Great atmosphere and wonderful food - sehr gemuetlich.  (I was there in late May).  Leb' wohl!
