At this time it takes a bachelors degree, successful completion of an
approved course of study in prosthetics, a clinical internship and successful
completion of a board examination. One then must comply with a continuing
education program to retain certification.

Only someone certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics
and Prosthetics, Inc. may use the title Certified Prosthetist.

At my web site I have a link to more details about ABC certification and
other certification programs.
