Greg - Unexplained???  Do people always notice events that may not seem related
to the bouts of phantom 'pain' which they experience??  I don't know whether
others find this to be true but I can elicit, cause to happen, sensations in my
phantom and stump by contracting abdominal and bowel muscles - which to me
means that events in those areas, not necessarily  the muscles,  are involved
in phantom and stump sensations, including pain.  EG, when my bowel is
irritated I have episodes of intense phantom sensation.  Can one generalize at
all from this?  George B.
