Hi Tuck;

I'm an AK amp who has had what I call a swimming leg for years. Mine is a
simple plastic shell with a knee that is manually locked to walk and unlocked
if you want to bend the knee. It's not a big help to swimming, but makes it
possible to get in and out of the water in a standing position by walking
stiff legged.

I can swim in it but it tends to float up and is no great help for that. The
good part is walking in and out of the water- water skiing on my sit ski,
driving the boat and being able to dive of the boat into the water from a
more comfortable position.

If floats -- cause of course it has come of -but rarely - knee boards and
riding inter tubes causes to much water force against it. Held on by
suction. I use it every summer and love it.
