shrinking stump

thank you for all the input on shrinking stumps, your information was 
helpful.
you know, i am not sure i like that word stump.  how do you all respond to 
that word?  i have heard it referred to as residual limb, i kinda like that 
better.  i am not sure why i feel that way, but i do.

since i am new to all of this---being an amputee--i hope you all don't mind 
me having a LOT of questions here and there.
i signed up to this forum in hopes to hear how others deal with changes and 
new products and such.  so thanks for bearing with me!
