Boy George, hardly the appropriate title for someone simply stating fact and
bringing up an alternative perspective and voicing MY opinion on the naming
of my remaining limb, and the reasons behind it.
>Verbal pyrotechnics don't turn me on, much, being more interested in
>the exchange of ideas than anyone's presumed 'gotcha's.
LOLOLOL!! You don't get off on verbal acrobatics!? Oh now I am hysterical!
LOL! Besides that's okay George, becuase I hadn't even lit a fuse yet.
You were really really
>sailing, racing through this last post, which I think is the metier you
>prefer.
AS opposed to what on the computer, pictures or drawings? Though I'd
abstain from calling it a metier, I do enjoy making a point which may make
others think, and perhaps widen their perspectives and views. The more
angles at which something can be viewed, the better the picture you have to
make an educated decision. I however, don't demand that everyone agree
with it, or presume to know the causes for someone not understanding or
agreeing with it.
Abstaining, I will probably deprive you of....pleasure.... Hey
>kiddo, let's try debating the substance. GB. :-)
Oh yes I will certainly be heartbroken to see this thread of subliminal
psychological evaluations put to an end. As far as debating substance, well
last I checked that was what some of us were discussing until we were
suddenly titled as unaccepting, and now suddenly because I have maintained
my view I am now also angry! LOL! I'm sorry, but I can't even take most of
this discussion seriously at this point. You speak of my tactics, which are
simple to determine, honest, non-assuming, and possibly creative, while you
regularly scrutinize, demean and provoke anyone you can.
Then, after you try and incite proactive rebellions to an alternative
prosthetic/amputee relationship in practice or ste up guidelines, you try
and diffuse these determined left wing theories with redundant statements,
using incoherent dialog and when that fails you aim at brotherhood by trying
to place yourself on a level of comraderie with statements like the one you
made earlier today to Anita.
". Being an amputee is not really a CHOICE for anyone
(including me) but rather the lesser of evils and once it happens is it not
necessary to work for the best possible attitudes toward it?? "
Now granted most know your story and can rationalize that you may not
have technically had a choice due to mental illness, of becoming an amputee,
BUT, let's not consider elective amputation a lack of choice huh? And
granted while having been through so very many years of psychological
counseling, as you mentioned, you may feel you are able to assess the
reasoning for peoples mere decisions and opinions and determine and point
out their supposed inadequacies, let's not over step our place huh? The
premise alone of you judging others by a term they chose or posts on here,
is beyond hysterics.
Now I don't care what opinions you express on here as I should hope
others will not pay too much attention to mine, but when you start making
general statements about the psychological and emotional acceptance of
myself, and toward others because their opinion or choices vary from yours,
I'm afraid I can't sit back and delete it away anymore. Just call it a pet
peeve of mine if you like. :o) Oh and note the smiley face, I have been
laughinmg at this whole discussion and the humor of it, not gritting my
teeth as you would have others believe.

>PS - Have you tried writing dialog in fiction?
Uh no, I much prefer facts, and I get to look at enough fiction writing in
some posts here online, that it's left my taste for fiction less than
palatable. :o)
