Sometimes I feel a little anger sweep up in me over phantoms and all
associated with it.. I have heard a Dr, say it is all in your head and
you can begin by just not acknowleging it. I think all nerve pain gets
lumped into one category and people are encouraged by others to get used
to it . For some nerve pain issimply too much pain. I tried every
perscription, tens, alternate therapies etc. Once I visited a nerve
specialist he found two neuromas that will be operated on this wed. 10.
Just thinking I may not have to deal with this is exciting. To be
constantly awakened by shooting electric unbearable leg jerking jolts is
not acceptable and before one decides that it is a part of a process
that you will have to accept and deal with or take pills forever for I
think a pain specialist and nerve specialist should be consulted. I have
never felt my leg or foot since the amp. over a year ago but could no
longer deal with the constant nerve pain.Even if I touch the leg a foot
above the end it triggers more nerve pain as does a breeze or sheet
touching. I just don't want anyone to try and be brave if they have not
checked with several different Dr's. and were sure of the source of
problem. I have an awsome c.p.,himself an amputee who has given me
great advice and empowered me as does this list to strive for what is
the best you can be via another opinion another Dr. or seeking until an
answer is found. Dot
