Thats because my perspective, being a Nuclear Engineer, is on an atomic
level. I break all things down to the sub particle. The lowest common
denominator. I see a seperation between your motivation and your response to
your motivation. You simply see your cause and effect as one.
I don't doubt that emotion can be a driving force. Wars have been fought
over less. I'm trying to point out that the response is your choice. You get
to decide how you want to respond and what manner.
He slapped me...so I shot him.
He slapped me so I slapped him back.
He slapped me so I turned the other cheek.
You see the, "He slapped me" as license to respond in any manner however
some responses are inappropriate. To the best of my knowledge, the cure for
obsessive comulsion is a "Prozac" type mao inhibitor followed with years of
intensive therapy. Some on the other hand will disagree and say a Shotgun is
a far better cure. One of these responses in poor judgement and
inappropriate. I'll let you pick.
