A whine about winter/New Mexico

Hi Debbie,
Isn't New Mexico called The Land of Enchantment?
Laid back is good...maybe you have less stress than some of us East Coast
types..
I live in the Providence RI area..Have you seen the TV show Providence? And
Providence is quieter and more livable than nearby Boston. Our housing and
costs of living are pretty high here.
I liked the architecture in Albuquerque...and more single level houses there
too..compared to all our New England colonials and Cape Cod houses.
Yes, you are correct about Native Americans and diabetes. I get all these
statistics at work at my Independent Living Center. Native Americans have an
extremely high rate of diabetes....so if any of you are Native American or
even part Native American, your docs should be aware and screening you for
diabetes. I would hope this would be automatic, but so many things are
overlooked by the medical profession..it is important we ourselves mention
everything.
Nice to hear from you,
Susan
