Jim,

No, that's not what I said.  I said, "I have never experienced phantom 
pains."  However, I do know a bit about the subject matter. 

I am the President of an amputee support group in NY.  Many members of my 
group experience phantom pains.  I am well aware not all sensations are the 
same for every individual.

  As you say,you do not know what we are talking about,and I simply gave a 
detailed account of MY sensation and pain,and they are NOT the same. Also 
after several years on this and other lists many amputees have experiences 
much like mine.
