Hello All, 

The debredement(sp) on the heel is not going well.  They told me from the onset that because the bone was exposed the chances of healing were slim to none.  We have been using a vacuum device, but it was taken off Wednesday, and the wound care guy, called the surgeon in.  There is infection, around the bone, and although i am taking Rocephin and Vancamycin, the doc, says they are not reachng my foot.  I say him again yesterday, and he said there was some improvement but suggested that the bone would have to be shaved back, for a continued chance for healing.  But it is not very likely, that I will keep this foot.  
The wound, from a pressure sore, on my lbk is almost healed, and soon I will hopefully be fitted for my first bk leg.  I wonder how different it will be to walk with a BK, although I always complained while I was a syme, walking was no problem for me.  And speaking of symes, I have several feet, that i would like to donate, if I knew where to send them.  Any help would be appreciated.
Dialysis is getting a little easier, the nausea is not as bad, and I'm beginning to enjoy a few foods again.
