New Member Intro

Tony,
Hi, I'm not sure how I we got all mixed up but I'm not Greg- My name is 
Marietta- I am also a new member but I joined b/c my partner [s.o] lost her 
lower leg on Sunday due to blood clots. Right now I'm totally overwhelmed 
with all the medical terms and blood work that's being done, basically she's 
not out of the woods yet, so I'm a little frazzled and nervous that she's 
going to lose the other leg. Her name is BJ aka Barbara- she was also very 
active, loved to fish and go boating. We recently bought a house on the water 
b/c we've got two boats and we were counting down the days to Memorial day 
and the beginning of Summer...Memorial Day will be a day we'll never forget! <

If the Dr's can figure out what's wrong with her-she'll be able to leave the 
hospital and go into rehab next week. I have no idea what to expect from 
rehab and how long before she can be fitted for a prosthesis..
We live on Long Island- we found out that one of the best rehabs is in White 
Plains it's called Burke and its about an hours drive- I don't mind making 
the trip I just want her to be in the best facility..This is not about me, 
it's about her and her comfort. 
Can you tell me how long you were in rehab and what to expect?
