There were LOTS of amputees there, mostly single BK's.  It was obvious they
had been there before, were waiting for a leg or attending physical therapy.
I can't say what their treatment was, except from the moment we  went
through the door we felt well "looked after".  I have never seen the sort of
treatment we ALL received there any where in the US before.  On top of this
they run a tea bar where two volunteer women fix us hot cups of tea or
cheese on toast for almost nothing.  A small thing, but a very nice touch. I
did a web search under the local leg center and found stories of other
amputees who seemed well pleased with both the staff and the limbs they
received.

I would think that every amputee who comes through the door gets the
attention they need.  It did seem the team gets together on each new client
to discuss the best option for the individual.  Michael's case is highly
unusual and does need that extra degree of expertise. But from what I can
tell everyone who needs it is well taken care of.
