Cold

Hi All,

I'm interested in some input from you all. I was standing out on the
field watching my son play soccer tonight and my leg inside my
prosthesis turned into an icicle which in turn made standing and walking
uncomfortable. Do other people experience this and what do you do about
it? I ended up with stress fractures a couple of years ago from Nordic
skiing and I think the cold was part of the problem. I have a Syme
amputation so have a really long residual limb and ankle bones that are
vulnerable to bruising. I'm using a Pelite liner inside a hard socket
with socks. I know the cold is partially about circulation but this has
been a problem as long as I've been an amp (which has been a LONG time
now). If you have any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.
