Hi All,
I'm interested in some input from you all. I was standing out on the
field watching my son play soccer tonight and my leg inside my
prosthesis turned into an icicle which in turn made standing and walking
uncomfortable.

I'm an AK with a my first leg. It's a suction socket and I'm only wearing it for 2-3 hours/day. I have the same "icicle syndrome" whether I'm indoors or out. My leg doesn't feel cold but when I remove it and touch the leg it is devoid of warmth. I haven't fully explored the reason but I do know that I lost my leg because of blood clots and poor circulation. I'm afraid that I may still have a problem but I haven't figured out where to check for a pulse like I did when I had a real leg. I suppose there is a possibility that the socket is compromising my circulation but.....? I'd like to hear what other folks have to say about this problem and a possible solution.
