Here's a pretty simple, straight forward site where you can insert the 
suspected virus name and see whether it comes up.  There are a number of 
others including those run by Norton (Symantec) and others.

These l'il buggers get their kicks by having us delete files that may be of 
use or by scaring us to death with their dire warnings.  Too bad their
