Hi Randy:
Just a thought for consideration, as I believe you to be very sharp
and on top of things:
RF> 1) Regarding the "evaluation" clinics, the major chain just did
this at a recent ACA event in Long Beach area.
Some of us amputees (too few) have known and complained on amputee
listservs for years that ACA is run by the industry. We are keenly
aware ACA conventions are social gatherings as well as marketing
opportunities for the industry. No surprise there.
What Mr.James Addams mentioned was of interest to us end-users of
product because:
How often does the Chairman of ACA shill for a particular company
regardless of the worth of their product? Please forgive my rhetoric.
As an amputee I find this to be what my dear old mom would call a
'conflict of interest'. He is supposed to represent the interests of
amputees, not a particular player in the industry. Or have I missed
something here? If so, please enlighten me..
Wayne Renardson, BK
PS: with Mr. Addams permission, I posted his traffic to AMP-
L at u.washington.edu. Doubt it will matter to anyone:)
