fitting for new prosthesis

Yeah, I'm using crutches. I have no pain right now, it's great. My prosthetist seems to think it's okay, I just like to get a second opinion. He's been really good, it was the one I had before him that could've done things differently. Yes, it will almost be about 3.5 weeks when I go in to see him.

it sounds like you don't quite trust your prosthetist. maybe you should switch. I think it's really important to have a good relationship with him so that you feel comfortable asking questions and telling him how things feel. so it'll be about a month when you go in? have you talked out what he has in mind for you and given your input according to your lifestyle. I think I went in to be fitted about a month out. It's been five years so I quite really remember. are you using crutches?

Yes, my prosthetist said that I could gett fitted this next week but I heard that getting fitted too soon is not good. I would like to trust everything my doctors and prosthetist say but I've found my answers out the hard way in the past. Do you think that 3 weeks is okay?

I converted from a Chopart amputation to a Symes on the 16th of October. Does anyone have an educated answer as to when I should start getting fit for a new prosthesis? I know that it might depend on how much the person swells but my doctor said that I don't have as much swelling as most people. I don't want to get fitted too early and then run into problems. Thanks, Belinda.
