Jim, I'm busy gathering up all the rocks, while chuckling to myself at your humor, and thinking, "it just gets better and better!" Well, like Calvin says, "The days are just packed!"

To the Barr Foundation, I was just having fun at your expense. I apologize for that. Whenever I do that to a friend, I expect and want him to do the same thing to me when the opportunity comes up: have fun at my expense. You can't do that because you are an organization. I assume you do a lot of good work as all foundations do. There is a lot of injustice in the world and you are trying to do your part to decrease that injustice. Please don't be defensive about something you have no need to be defensive about. My tone was just indulging my cynicism in a humorous way and I even apologized up front for it. Thank you understanding that.
To the women_admirers_and_amputee_men group!
1.. I didn't imply any of that stuff about crawling out from under a rock. That is all about your own insecurity. I think sexual expression is a private individual matter. However: I don't like getting an unsolicited invitation to join a group based on what I thought was private information. I'm less cynical than you might think. I still believe in privacy.
2.. Any group that has as part of its description "a group for women who prefer amputees" is a least open to humor (there is a difference between humor and insult.) But I ask the women on this site: how would you react to an unsolicited invitation to join a group of men who PREFER female amputees. I assume if you are happy and comfortable with your sexuality you would react with humor the way I did but otherwise you might be very angry.
Anyway, I apologize if it seemed as if I was implying that you are a group of perverts. I wasn't. I think it is a good thing that there are women who are not prejudiced against amputees. But if they PREFER amputees, it is my respectful opinion that there is a problem. However, I'm not a moralist. Humor is my preferred weapon. Please remove the "slithering beings coming out from under rocks" imagery from my humor.
Sincerely,
Jim Street
