Good luck to you. When I was in the appeal process trying to get a c-leg (2
years 4+ appeals and still no c-leg) I submitted reams of documentation,
statements from prosthetisits whom had already received c-leg approval for
their patients, EOB's from patients who had received their approvals from
companies like B/CB/S and on and on. I would hope that someplace like ACA's
info center would survey and keep track of what's out there and who has it.
It is a daunting task but it would certainly be helpful for folks like me
who have to fight for everything we get.

We're trying to justify to a rather reticent insurance company the need and
the fact it is no longer "investigational"... I've heard the comment that
there's "50,000" of them out there. Also numbers like "5,000" and "many"
(talk about non-specific). Anyone know any way to find out for certain?
The Ottobock page simply states: "hundreds" which is pretty vague.

Thanks,
Mark
