Where do the costs come from?

Before we beat up on the prosthetic providers, we need to realize that they (the provider) get reimbursded once for the services provided! All follow up visits are covered in the original reimbursement. The C-Leg (which I have) can result in many follow up visits for fine tuning etc. All of these follow up visits are not covered and the provider does not get any additional reimbursement! I am a C-leg user and donot think my prosthetisit is getting rich of of these components!
Thanks

Hi All
many of you know about the fight I've been fighting with my insurance co for a c-leg going on two years now. I use a Hanger provider and they bill out at close to 60 but contract rates give them a reimbursement rate of about 29,0000
I have one more month to wait and see if the benefits commission for my husbands job to decide if they will approve or send to the dept of administrative law to be heard by a judge.

my c-leg was billed at $39,272.29, AND that was with the LUXON foot.
medicare paid 80% of what they approved, $31,417.84, and my cp and i split the balance....
i'm thinking some cps are taking some clients for a ride?

C leg in america gets billed out at $55k or so, and the CPs hope to get $40k
