[AMP-L] New Leg Ideas???

Hello all,
Please give me advice. I am an RBK 3/4/05 (trauma), getting ready for my 3rd
socket, but want something different than what I've had. I am 47 years old
but healthy and active and have been fulltime working for more than a year.
My residual limb is a bit longer than average - about 9 inches.
Currently, I am in an alpha liner with a laniard strap that holds my leg in
by velcro leverage on the outside of the socket. I have a #6 Flexfoot (way
too stiff.) What I have noticed is that with the stiff foot, the end of my
tibia slides across my skin with each step and at times feels like I am
tearing the skin off (mainly when I am light on socks.) I have tested a
much more flexible foot (Otto Bock ID35) and have had much less discomfort
from the shearing forces in the socket.
I am hoping for a better socket fit with less movement inside the socket and
a more flexible foot to take the brunt of walking. Locking pin with gel
liner? Foot? I walk comfortably at a normal speed without limping. My
realistic goals are to be walking fast, running and skiing - soon! Any
advice on a new leg would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
