[AMP-L] Is the C-leg worth the extra cost?

Hi Larry  - I got my c-leg 5 years ago after walking with a mauch knee for
several years. I walked well with the mauch but like my c-leg very much and
would never go back to the mauch knee. I still use the mauch when there is
risk of getting my knee wet such as when I kayak. I am not a runner or
particularly athletic, but I work hard and play hard. I hiked to the summit
of Mount Washington today and surprised myself at how well it performed
climbing rocks and going up and down some very steep grades. In my work I
often use a large, heavy chain saw on hillsides on a regular basis and I
never fall with the c-leg, where as with the mauch knee, I did occasionally
did fall going down steep hills. I feel very comfortable and safe with my
c-leg. I can't imagine that you would dislike one. They are expensive, but
my insurance paid for most of the cost. Good Luck. Be Well. Herb
