Teachers send these bloopers to the NEA and they put them in their news
letters. I thought this one should be looked at by amp orgs.
This anecdote comes from Jeffrey Ballam of Los Angeles. He writes:
The fourth-grade classes in my school were finishing up their "Mystery to
Medicine" unit the same week one of the classes had to give their
schoolwide presentation on Presidents' Day. They managed to present
George Washington in a favorable light, but my other fourth-grade
colleagues and I had to stifle a laugh as Abraham Lincoln was referred to
as "The Great Amputator" and had signed "The Amputation Proclamation."
