[AMP-L] sick of sneakers

I'm a double BKA. surgical amputations 7 months ago. I'm 43, a
middle-school math teacher, and I don't have prosthetics yet. will be
getting them soon. I've wondered the same all along about shoe options, and
I've noticed that ballet flats are very popular again. Lots of different
styles in the basic ballet flat shape from casual-plain to dressy-business.
I've seen all kinds of colors and materials. even animal prints and patent
leather. Think that might give you some variety from sneakers?

Also, I've seen low-profile feet that have adjustable ankles so you can
accommodate different heal heights. Have you looked into those? One I saw
required you to adjust the ankle angle to a fixed position before putting
the leg on, and another one I saw allowed for smooth adjusting of the angle
with the leg on. Of course, I haven't tried them, but I plan to discuss
them with my prosthetist.
